The Queensland Department of Resources recognised a significant opportunity to deliver a fully integrated cadastral and positioning infrastructure that includes automated service delivery and an environment that promotes collaboration with industry. The Geospatial Frameworks team conducted a business review of the current cadastral and positioning infrastructure and developed a future business model. As part of this project, workshops and discussions were held with staff and industry to establish a clear vision for the modernisation of systems and, to identify the strategies that will deliver on the major goals. The team delivered a strategy, and documented the current situation, future business requirements and options that will enable a transition to a new future.
