A strategy for “Powering Decision Making and Innovation Using Spatial Information Technologies” developed with the Ministry of Disaster Management, Ministry of Land and Land Development, and the Ministry of Environment for the Sri Lankan government. The Strategy was developed over a 4-week period in consultation with management and staff at various government agencies and the NSDI Working Group. This document marked a significant milestone for Sri Lanka. A Workshop held 27th May 2014 contributed to the development of the strategic goals and objectives. The process set the scene for promoting a culture of integration and collaboration within and between government agencies in Sri Lanka. The project was contracted by the World Bank, and included a Baseline Assessment, NSDI Framework, and Implementation Plan.
